Bio

Grace McKerras is a recent graduate of the Masters of Applied Learning and Teaching (Secondary) through Deakin University, marking her entry into the education profession.  She specializes in teaching humanities subjects to high school students, with a particular emphasis on history and environmental studies. Her primary interest lies in understanding how young people navigate the intersection of preparing for the future and fostering a strong connection with and care for the environment.
During her Masters program, Grace examined the educational concept of ‘Wild Pedagogies’, within the context of regenerative education. Her research aimed to explore the potential of these frameworks as tools for engaging Culturally and Linguistically Diverse students in Victorian schools.
