A video of a self-proclaimed “56-year-old gun-owning country boy” has gone viral as he says he plans to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.
The video appears to have been initially posted to TikTok by a user who goes by Vic Meyers. It later went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, after it was posted to the account Republicans Against Trump, and gained 5.8 million views.

Following Trump’s re-election “The gun owning white guy who voted for Kamala Harris” rebranded his YouTube channel as “Resistor Vic”.

On September 15, 2025 he posted a video to his channel tiled, Charlie’s Bible Verses. As I post this it has 171,574 views.

A black man. He’s hurt and disappointed at people on the left offering empathy and sympathy is even more hurt by white friends staying silent.

See, there’s empathy and then there’s sympathy.
Empathy isn’t say just saying that you have it like most people do.
It’s a skill you practice.
It means setting aside your own values and opinions long enough to step into someone else’s shoes and really see the world from their point of view.
I can’t do that with Charlie Kirk.
I could never set aside my morals and values to understand the view of someone who attacks my LGBTQ friends and relatives or the views of someone whose words cause harm to my black sister-in-law…
…I have a wife, a mother, sisters, a daughter, five granddaughters. I have nieces and daughters-in-law.
And Charlie Kirk preached that these women in my life were to be treated as property and denied free will…
…Charlie Kirk loved to cherrypick the Bible in his mission to radicalize young Americans.
I think it’s only befitting that we send him off by picking specific parts of the Bible to remember him…
We do not want to become fixated on Charlie Kirk and the aftermath of his killing.
But as Resistor Vic observes, now is not the time for silence.

I’m an evangelical Athiest, I agree with you. Turning point USA was founded by William Montgomery and Charlie Kirk. They were anti-Vax and pro-gun. Montgomery died of COVID, and Kirk died by gunfire, go figure.

For what it’s worth I always felt Kirk was a con man who used religion as a cloak for his goals. Namely wealth and power. It worked til he was embraced by another con man ,Trump. And we all know everything Trump embraces goes to ruin.
